Earn up to 1.0 Ethics CLE for NJ/NY/PA

John G. Schmidt Jr. and Anna Mercado Clark, partners at Phillips Lytle LLP, will provide an ethics CLE presentation on the ethical considerations for telecommuting attorneys. This will include discussion of the applicable Rules of Professional Responsibility and the practical considerations for attorneys working remotely, including IT, privilege, confidentiality, and security. The presentation will also address recent developments pertaining to attorneys and interstate telecommuting. Additional attention will be paid to the Rules pertaining to the unauthorized practice of law, say from an attorney’s out-of-state home office or while on vacation in a jurisdiction where the lawyer is not licensed.
